Committees

2012 Award LunchParticipation on a Chamber Committee is a great way to be involved in the Chamber and to network with other Chamber members. Committee participation can be fun and fulfilling.

Monthly Luncheons

Help plan monthly luncheons with notable guest speakers on issues of interest and importance to Chamber members and the community. 

Networking Committee

Assist at Networking After Five events held monthly at members’ businesses to showcase their business and to allow attendees to network informally.  NAF events are from 5-7 PM.  Locations and dates change monthly.

Golf 2012Golf Outing

Assist in planning the annual networking and fundraising event. This committee meets for approximately six months.  Now accepting new committee members for our Monday, June 11, 2012 outing at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course. 

Business to Business Show 2012Business Show

Help plan, promote and execute this annual business expo, which draws more than 1,000 attendees, exhibitors and food vendors each year. The committee meets for approximately six months prior to this October event.  Now accepting new members for this committee, which will meet monthly.  Date/time TBD.

Casino Night

Assist with the planning and implementation of the Chamber’s annual Casino Night to be held this year on Tuesday, May 15th at Embassy Suites.   

2011 BenefitCommunity Events

Plan and implement the annual community Pancake Breakfast in February and assist in planning other major events during the year. This committee meets as needed for an event and more frequently prior to an event.

Membership

Create strategies and develop activities for expanding membership.  Assist in retention of current members, welcome new members to the Chamber and encourage their involvement in Chamber activities.  The Ambassador Subcommittee attends events and ensures that new members feel welcome by facilitating introductions to other members and hosts tables at monthly luncheons.

Marketing

Oversee the Chamber’s brand and plan the Chamber’s marketing and PR strategies. Oversee the website and other communication vehicles. 

Benefits

Assist in reviewing current member benefits and suggesting potential new benefits to increase the value members receive from their Chamber membership.  Meets as needed.
