Participation on a Chamber Committee is a great way to be involved in the Chamber and to network with other Chamber members. Committee participation can be fun and fulfilling.

Monthly Luncheons

Help plan meetings with notable guest speakers on issues of interest and importance to Chamber members and the community.  Committee members also assist at luncheons with registration and as table hosts.  Meets 1st Thursday of each month, 8:30 AM at the Chamber office.

Golf Outing

Assist in planning the annual networking and fund-raising event. This committee meets for approximately six months. Best time to sign up is in the fall.  2010 committee meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month beginning February 17th, 8:30 AM at the Chamber office.

Business Show

Help plan, promote and execute this annual business expo, which draws more than 1,000 attendees, exhibitors and food vendors each year. The committee meets for approximately six months prior to this early fall event and accepts new members at the start of the planning process only. The 2010 committee will meet the 3rd Wesnesday of the month beginning June 16th, 8:30 AM at the Chamber office.

Annual Dinner

Assist with the planning and implementation of the Chamber's annual meeting and gala held each May.  The 2010 committee will meet the 2nd Thursday of the month beginning February 11th, 8:30 AM at the Chamber office.

Community Events: Taste of Beachwood and Winterfest/Pancake Breakfast

Plan and implement the annual community Winterfest-Pancake Breakfast in February and our newest event: Taste of Beachwood. Join one or both of the committees. These committees meet as needed for an event and more frequently immediately prior to an event.  

Membership

Create strategies and develop activities for expanding membership. The Committee has several subcommittees designed to implement the committee's goals.

Assist in retention of current members, welcome new members to the Chamber and encourage their involvement in Chamber activities. Attend events and ensure that new members feel welcome by facilitating introductions to other members, and host tables at monthly luncheons. Meets 1st Tuesday of each month, 8:30 AM at the Chamber office.

Benefits

Assist in reviewing current member benefits and suggesting potential new benefits to increase the value members receive from their Chamber membership.
